Who We Are
Dr. Gina Wintermantel first became involved with CVM during Veterinary school through the Urbana Missions Conference. She stayed in contact with CVM through the years (practicing small animal medicine), and served on a short-term missions trip to East Africa. Most recently she has had the honor of serving on the Advisory board for CVM. She is married to Steve, who serves as a pastor, and they have four children. She feels it is a blessing to be encouraged and equipped through CVM to use her skills as a veterinarian for the glory of God.
Gina works with CVM Affiliates to mobilize veterinarians around the world so that they can share Christ's love using veterinary medicine. By networking and combining everyone's gifts, talents and resources, we are able to reach more people for Christ together than we can on our own. As we work together for this purpose, we learn from each other, and are able to be more effective in our ministries. By using our veterinary skills and knowledge to teach and help people, we meet some very real and practical needs, which opens the door for sharing about the God who loves them.
Gina's partners are the CVM Affiliates, who are located around the world. A CVM Affiliate is an international group of Christian veterinarians in a country or region with whom CVM USA shares the common value of Christ-centeredness and a veterinary focus, and with whom CVM USA has mutually agreed to relate with in order to share Christ’s love through veterinary medicine. It is inspiring to hear how God is calling them to serve Him in reaching people for Christ.
