"One Generation to the Next"
Who We Are
Now that Coalson and Ruth are married, they are ready to join forces and return to Bolivia as long-term fieldworkers with Christian Veterinary Mission and they need your help! CVM is excited to have Dr. Ruth (Johnson) Lacey serve alongside her now husband, Dr. Coalson Lacey. Coalson recently finished his first term serving with CVM in Bolivia and came home to get married in October 2016. While he was serving in Bolivia, Ruth was able to serve as short-term volunteer. She too, fell in love with Bolivia and its people!
Bolivia is currently the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and one of two land-locked countries within South America. There is a great need in Bolivia to help create holistic and sustainable agricultural and veterinary projects with an emphasis on building and growing personal relationships with Jesus Christ in each believer. Veterinary medicine is just one tool to help accomplish this purpose. CVM is excited to see how God continues to work through Coalson’s and Ruth’s lives and ministry as they join forces to share Christ’s love through veterinary medicine in Bolivia!
Drs. Coalson and Ruth Lacey will continue their partnership with VETRED – CVM’s Latin American affiliate group. VETRED has been in Bolivia for many years and has an established campus ministry program at the vet school in Santa Cruz. VETRED desires to reach all individuals involved in veterinary medicine – from veterinary students to practicing veterinarians. This partnership with VETRED helps Coalson and Ruth fulfill two of their greatest passions: teaching veterinary medicine and discipling young believers. Their goal is to share Christ’s love with veterinary professors, students, and practicing vets through hands-on experiences, providing continuing education opportunities, community outreach events, and discipleship opportunities through the local and national ministry of VetRed!
