Dr. Brian Aldridge
Brian and Russhawn have been married for 18 years. They met while in graduate school at UW Madison-Wisconsin. The Lord had a lot of work to do on Brian, but eventually Russhawn accepted his proposal for marriage, and they set up home at UC-Davis, where Brian worked as a marine mammal research scientist/large animal clinician, and Russhawn worked for Cal EPA. From NorCal, they moved to SoCal and were part of the founding faculty at Western College of Health Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine. From there, they moved to the UK serving in the London Bible Study Fellowship classes while Brian worked at the Royal Veterinary College and Cambridge University. The Aldridges returned to the US in 2012 to work at the University of Illinois. Brian currently has a joint appointment in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) and new Carle Illinois College of Medicine, and Russhawn serves as a curricular coordinator at the CVM.
In each of the places they have lived, the Aldridges have been actively involved in student ministry, both through their churches, CVMF and the UK equivalent (Christian Veterinary Missions). They are currently serving the Lord by helping develop a biblical counseling ministry at their local church in Urbana. They love serving together in bringing hope and help to people through a side by side ministry of counseling, rooted in the sufficiency of Scripture and the wonderful promise of change through sanctification. In this season, their greatest joy is serving the Lord by laughing with, encouraging and training their two young men Caleb and Noah, to love the Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength.
