Drs. Trent & Tabitha Cox
Serving in Ethiopia
Who We Are
Trent and Tabitha met while attending Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. They graduated in 1999, and practiced for 2 years in California. Though neither of them ever dreamed of doing mission work, as they began to avail themselves to the Lord and seek His good and perfect will, God began changing the desires of their hearts. They moved to Ethiopia in August 2001, where they have served ever since.
The Coxes live among the Bunna in a little village called Alduba. Through veterinary medicine, they are able to meet a felt need among the numerous semi-nomadic pastoralist tribes in Southwest Ethiopia. Their veterinary skills provide a platform by which they have been able to enter new communities and minister in both word and deed. They are now targeting the last three unreached people groups in Southwest Ethiopia.
Trent Cox also serves as a team leader for SIM Ethiopia, the Cox's host organization, providing member care and logistical support to fellow missionaries in addition to serving the local and regional Church by consulting in leadership development under the direction of the Center For Creative Leadership.
