Drs. Coalson & Ruth Lacey
Serving in Bolivia
"One Generation to the Next"
Who I Am
Dr. Coalson Lacey is beginning his first term as a long-term field staff with CVM and is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead! He was first introduced to CVM through the student ministry group - CVF - at Texas A&M University. God used his time during vet school and the activities and mission trips of CVF to plant a desire to serve Him long-term in Latin America. Coalson is now living the reality of being able to fulfill God's call for his life in Bolivia!
Coalson will be teaching courses in veterinary medicine and technical English at the Universidad Autonoma del Beni, located in Trinidad, Bolivia. Alongside his activities in the classrooms, hospital and university farm, he will be planting and leading a new campus ministry program at the university - similar to a program that is up and running at another vet school in Bolivia. Coalson's heart and passion is to work with university students. He wants to see students excel professionally as well as spiritually!
Dr. Coalson Lacey will be parterning with VETRED - CVM's Latin American affiliate group. VETRED has been in Bolivia for many years and has an established campus ministry program at the vet school in Santa Cruz. VETRED desires to reach all individuals involved in veterinary medicine - from veterinary students to practicing veterinarians. Alongside teaching and serving as a leader of the campus ministry program, Coalson will be organizing continuing education conferences in Bolivia and hosting teams from CVM.
