Dr. Hillary & Michael Mincher
Serving in Mongolia
"Going and Growing"
Who We Are
Michael and Hillary Mincher are from Tennessee where Michael grew up in the rural community of Parkburg helping his granddaddy on their small cattle farm and Hillary grew up in the rural community of Spring Creek on her father’s row crop and horse farm. They were sweethearts as high school teenagers and later married. Hillary completed veterinary school at the University Of Tennessee College Of Veterinary medicine. Hillary began practicing rural mixed animal medicine and Michael returned to school to complete his undergraduate degree in psychology. He is currently working towards his masters in Biblical counseling through Southern Baptist Theological Seminary while working at Wards Grove farms.
During their four years in Knoxville, through their local church God began opening their eyes to foreign missions. Hillary was first exposed to Christian Veterinary Mission through the student fellowship program at the UTCVM. From that point forward, the Mincher’s were in contact with CVM before going on short-term foreign mission trips with their church. Following their mission trip to Kenya in 2013, they began to experience the calling of God on their lives to go to the unreached people groups in the world and to share with them the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their talents. It took two years of surrender and prayer before God fully revealed His plan for them to join with CVM in Mongolia working with V.E.T. Net.
While stationed at V.E.T. Net headquarters in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Michael will serve as the counselor for the V.E.T. Net staff and the evangelical & discipleship trainer for indigenous church plants. Hillary will serve as the equine veterinary advisor for V.E.T. Net and assist in veterinary CE training for Mongolian veterinarians and veterinary students. Together they will work with the veterinary students, the “Claim a County” and “Watering with the Word” projects in the country side of Mongolia with the V.E.T. Net staff. As they build relationships with local people through veterinary training, children education programs, and character building skills, they will share the Good News. In hopes that church plants will soon develop in these counties and discipleship will be underway to reach all of Mongolia for Christ.
The Mongolian partner with CVM is V.E.T. Net. It is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) that focuses on sharing Christ with all of Mongolia through veterinary medicine and education. They have chosen to work through the entire nation county by county diligently to reach these people for Christ. Together the Mincher’s will excitedly work alongside with the Mitchum’s, Ballenger's, and Woolsey’s.
